Calangute and Candolim are the busy middle of North Goa, a few minutes from the sand by road, with shops and restaurants open late and Vilmaris Luxe or Hotel Vilmaris Breeze as the base. Saligao is farmland and old houses, where Sunridge suits families travelling with grandparents. Arpora gives you room to spread out at Casa Palacio, five minutes from Baga. Anjuna is for families whose children are old enough to want cafes, markets and cliffs rather than a sandpit.

Each area answers a different question about children, noise and driving.
Whichever area you choose, the stay is serviced. In Calangute and Sinquerim that means daily housekeeping, a pool, a restaurant on site and free parking at Luxe. In Saligao, Arpora and Anjuna it means the whole villa to yourselves with a manager, a chef on call, spa on call, a BBQ setup, itinerary planning, parking inside the gate and 24x7 power backup.
The five areas sit within about half an hour of each other. Gauravaddo in Calangute and Gaura Waddo in Sinquerim are the beach-side addresses. Grand Morrod in Saligao is inland and quiet. Arpora-Baga Road runs between Arpora and Baga. Mazal Waddo and Bouta Waddo are the two Anjuna lanes. Mapusa, useful for markets and a chemist, is ten to fifteen minutes from most of them.

Saligao or Candolim. Saligao is a residential village with almost no through traffic, and Sunridge there has a large common garden. Candolim and Sinquerim are calmer than Baga, and Hotel Vilmaris Breeze is about five minutes from both beaches.
It suits families with teenagers rather than toddlers. Anjuna has cafes, the flea market, and the cliffs at Vagator about ten minutes away, which older children enjoy. Vilmaris Anjuna Woods is around 800 metres from the beach and Vilmaris Courtyard Villa a few minutes from it.
Calangute if you want restaurants and shops within reach, Candolim if you want the quieter end. Vilmaris Luxe Hotel in Gauravaddo is a 4-star with a semi-covered pool and its own restaurant. Hotel Vilmaris Breeze in Gaura Waddo, Sinquerim, is a 3-star with rooms from ₹3,150.
Arpora. Casa Palacio Villa sits on the Arpora-Baga Road, about five minutes from Baga Beach and Tito's Lane, ten from Calangute and fifteen from Anjuna. You get the access without the beach-road noise at night.
Between 40 and 60 minutes from Calangute, Candolim, Saligao, Arpora and Anjuna, depending on traffic. Dabolim takes a little longer from all of them. Villa bookings include pickup and drop, so the transfer is arranged before you land.
